9th APHC 2011 - Welcome Message
Palliative Care in Mainstream Medicine

We are pleased to announce that the 9th Asia Pacific Hospice Conference 2011 will be held in Penang, Malaysia. Since the nineties, the conference has been held in Singapore, Hongkong, Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Manila and Perth and over time, it has evolved into the premier hospice conference in the region.
The theme “Palliative Care in Mainstream Medicine” was chosen to emphasise the message that caring is the responsibility of all health professionals looking after those who are sick - that palliative care is basically just good medical care.
The programme that is being drawn up will address this and at the same time encourage the development of attitudes, knowledge and skills for its delivery in any setting. We look forward to your participation to promote the integration of palliative care with mainstream medicine in our respective countries.
Selamat Datang (welcome) to Malaysia to savour what is culturally truly Asia and to our world heritage site of Georgetown in Penang.
Dato Seri Dr T. Devaraj & Prof M R Rajagopal
Co-Chairs
Note:
If you wish to be on our mailing list for the updates on this Conference, please email us at MHC. Thank you.
Our website APHC2011 is still under construction.
